All classes are cancelled until we are clear of COVID-19 but until then I am posting free and paid classes to YouTube. Please email me for details.

All the best known styles of yoga practiced in the West today are a form of Hatha. I teach traditional postures with a focus on alignment and breathing to help you find a healthy balance between body and mind. These lessons are suitable for everyone and the postures can be adapted to suit your needs.

Vinyasa flow synchronises a continuous succession of poses with your breathing, while encouraging your mind to remain focused. It can accommodate all levels of experience but it may be challenging for beginners and I encourage you to try Hatha yoga classes first.

This is a relaxing, calming, grounding style suitable for everyone, whether you're taking some time out of your fast-paced and stressful modern life or recovering from illness or injury. With its roots in Iyengar yoga, restorative yoga encourages you to relax as far into each posture as possible. These lessons are dedicated entirely to relaxation and teach you to focus on your breath and on the present as you stretch and soothe your body. It is slow and poses will be held for a significant time, allowing us to absorb the benefits of the twists and bends even more than usual. We will often use props to encourage the body to relax as deeply as possible.

Class Conduct

Please arrive five minutes before class starts so we can begin promptly. If you are more than 10 minutes late then, to avoid disruption, you won't be able to join the session and will not get a refund.

Clothing should be comfortable and allow movement. Spare mats and props will be available but if you have your own equipment please bring it with you; your practice will benefit if you have your own familiar mat. Some things you might like to bring:

• Mat

• Blanket

• Cushion

• Bolster

• Blocks, bricks

• Eye bag

• Strap

• Towel

A water jug will be provided but please keep all glasses and bottles on the side to prevent spillage in the practice space. Please leave your shoes and other items in the designated space when you arrive. And please set your phone to silent or, even better, turn it off.

As yogis we practice ahimsa (non-violence), satya (truthfulness) and asteya (non-stealing): please be kind, considerate and welcoming to all who share our space.

Please contact me if you are interested in a class. Equipment and space is available but may be limited so booking is essential. I send out a weekly newsletter that includes what's on and when, drop me a line if you'd like to receive it.

Due to training and Easter there will be no lessons 10th to 20th April and 18th May to 15th June.
